Step 1: Download and open the GCash app
You’ll need to download the GCash app to your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once you have the app downloaded, open it and hit “Sign Up” to begin the registration process.
Step 2: Enter your personal details
The registration process will ask you to enter your personal details, including your full name, mobile number, and email address. You’ll also need to create a password for your account. Agree to the terms and conditions and select “Continue” to proceed.
Step 3: Provide a valid government-issued ID
For verification purposes, you’ll need to provide a valid government-issued ID. As a foreigner, you can use your passport or Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) as identification. Follow the prompts to complete the verification process. This may involve taking a photo of your ID and answering some security questions.
Step 4: Load your Gcash account
Once your account is verified, you can start using GCash to make payments, transfer money, and more. To load money into your GCash account, you can use one of the following methods:

- Transfer money from Wise:

Other methods
- Connect to your PayPal account:
You can link your PayPal account to Gcash. This is not always recommended, you will might have to change your PayPal account to the Philippines, and convert money to PHP, which can be costy on Paypal. - Buy load or prepaid credits: You can purchase prepaid credits or load for your GCash account at any authorized GCash partner outlets, such as convenience stores or pawnshops. You can also buy load online through the GCash app or website.
- Receive money from other GCash users: You can ask other GCash users to send money to your GCash account. They can do this by entering your mobile number and the amount they want to send
Step 5: Use GCash to make payments and transfer money
Once you have loaded money into your GCash account, you can use it to make payments and transfer money to other GCash users. To make a payment, enter the recipient’s mobile number and the amount you want to send. You can also use GCash to pay bills, buy load for your mobile phone, and more.
To transfer money to another GCash user, select “Transfer” from the main menu and follow the prompts. You can transfer money to other GCash users or to a bank account. You can also use GCash to send money to someone who doesn’t have a GCash account by using the “Cash In” feature.
